He first learned about Safe Haven Defense (SHD) through a former colleague, Allen Cain, who shared with him the innovative products that SHD develops and installs to ensure unparalleled safety and security for the public. Intrigued by the life-saving potential of these products, Jose felt a strong desire to get involved and contribute to SHD’s mission.

Jose is a respected US Marine Corps Veteran who served his country with distinction in the early 1990s. Following his military service, he joined the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, dedicating five years to upholding law and order. His commitment to community service then led him to the Chicago Police Department, where he retired after 20 years of unwavering service. These experiences have imbued him with a deep understanding of the importance of safety and the value of reliable safety solutions.

Jose’s interest in SHD is driven by a profound belief in the effectiveness and essential nature of their products. With over 25 years in Law Enforcement, he can endorse the results of SHD’s products with conviction. He is enthusiastic about contributing to a company that is equally committed to saving lives and enhancing public security.

On a personal note, Jose is a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox, and he enjoys the company of his two dogs, exploring the lively spirit of the city they call home.
